Getting Started
How do I know if I need a professional?
If you’ve seen more than one mouse, find droppings in more than one area, hear noises in walls or ceilings, or have rats anywhere on the property, it’s time to call. Small problems grow fast.
What areas do you serve?
Minneapolis and nearby suburbs including St. Paul, Bloomington, St. Louis Park, Richfield, Brooklyn Park, Edina, Brooklyn Center and Fridley. See all service areas.
How fast can someone come out?
Same-day and next-day visits are often available. For urgent situations, see our emergency service.
Is the phone estimate really free?
Yes. Calling to describe the problem and get a rough idea of cost is free and comes with no obligation.
Mice and Rats
How can I tell mice from rats?
Mouse droppings are rice-sized; rat droppings are closer to an olive pit. Rats burrow outdoors and are heavier and louder. Mice climb into walls, cabinets and attics.
Why do I get mice every fall?
Cold weather pushes mice indoors. If your home has unsealed gaps, new mice find them each year until the openings are closed.
Can mice really fit through tiny holes?
Yes. A mouse can fit through a gap about a quarter inch wide. Rats need about half an inch.
Are mice and rats dangerous?
They can contaminate food, spread bacteria, chew wiring and, in the case of deer mice, carry hantavirus. Read our hantavirus guide.
Treatment and Safety
Do you use poison?
Not inside homes. Indoors we use traps and sealing. Locked bait stations are used outdoors only when they make sense.
Is treatment safe for pets and kids?
Traps are placed in enclosed stations or out-of-reach spots, and we’ll go over placement with you.
Do I have to leave my home?
No. Nothing is sprayed or fogged in your living space.
What materials do you use for sealing?
Stainless steel mesh, galvanized hardware cloth, sheet-metal flashing, concrete patch and flexible exterior sealant, chosen for each spot.
Cost and Guarantees
How much does rodent control cost?
It depends on the home and the problem. See our cost guide for typical Minneapolis ranges.
Do you require a contract?
No long-term contract is required for residential work. Commercial clients can choose ongoing service plans.
Is the work guaranteed?
Providers in our network typically back sealing work with a written warranty. Terms are listed in your plan before work begins.
Do you charge for the inspection?
Many inspections are free or credited toward the work. You’ll know before the visit.
Still Have a Question?
Call and talk to a local rodent technician. No pressure, no obligation.
